Shout3D™ 2.5 - Demo Tour

Pixel Doubling

On slower computer systems, animation in large 3D windows may run too slowly. A good solution when large windows are a requirement is pixel doubling. Each pixel rendered in the original scene is spread out over a block of four pixels. Resolution is decreased to obtain a larger rendering space, while preserving the speed of a smaller window.

This example uses a smoothed version of pixel doubling for a more pleasing, less pixilated effect.
